Rain

It’s been raining in the desert southwest for several days now. Lots of my RVing friends are somewhere around here and many of us are not happy with this weather. I didn’t realize how much I was thinking about this until I suddenly found myself singing the 1963 Allen Sherman song:

Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh.
Here I am at Camp Granada.
Camp is very entertaining.
And they say we’ll have some fun if it stops raining
.

I was surprised to discover how many of the words to that song I actually remember.

I think it may be done raining for a bit now. I certainly hope so because I have errands to run.

TTYL,

Linda

  1. It has been raining here in Houston for two solid days. We have been here at this time of the year for the last five years. We never remember it raining like this. I keep singing…Rain, rain go away!

  2. It’s still supposed to be nasty in Vegas today so I’m glad we pulled out yesterday. We even saw blue skies in the afternoon. However, it is colder than what we like but it’s not supposed to rain. That’s a good thing. I’m definitely very tired of it.

  3. If you’re singing that song I think the rain has finally sent you over the edge. LOL I’m actually seeing some sunshine this morning. Fingers crossed.

  4. It’s raining here on the mid-Atlantic east coast. We’ll get 3 inches of rain by tomorrow night. Glad it’s not snow, although that’s just about an hour west of us. At 5 am this morning it was starting to rain a bit with some sleet mixed in. Stay dry and warm, Friend!!

  5. I know I chose to spend this winter in a marsh, but really. I’m getting sick and tired of the rain and cold too. 🙁

  6. It being the day before, it’s time to wish you a pleasant and tasteful Thanksgiving Day dinner. Hope you’re doing OK.

  7. I LOVED that song! hadn’t thought of it in years. loved it and can still laugh thinking of it.
i’m such a rain lover … can’t relate too much. although days on end of it in a small rv might change my outlook! LOL.
glad there’s a respite now for you. be careful! xoxo
    happy turkey day!
