Is weighing more than normal a problem?

This article says probably not: http://qz.com/550527/obesity-paradox-scientists-now-think-that-being-overweight-is-sometimes-good-for-your-health/

My sedentary life is more hazardous than my excess weight?

Apparently what I need to do is more “nutritious exercise” as defined by Katy Bowman. May be I need to go back and reread her posts at KatySays.com and actually implement some of what I’ve learned there?

  1. wow.
that is my first introduction to that research.
it goes along with what i feel about hypertension levels.
they now consider optimum blood pressure to be well below 120/80. every year it seems to go lower and lower. if mine got to 120/80 i would pass out.
is that to sell more hypertensive drugs?
i just don’t trust big pharma.
and i have NEVER thought ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to some health issues.
jim fixx … the great runner dropped dead mid stride. and he didn’t have an ounce of fat on him.
my dad was also NEVER fat and he died at 45 of a massive heart attack.
of course the camel cigarettes no doubt helped that along with daddy. they are lethal.
thanks for this interesting slant on it.
I plan to check out katysays.com now!
sorry for such a long comment. 🙂 but… what’s new? really? LOLOL

  2. I have been much healthier (well, fitter) at a heavier weight than I am now. I could run a 3 mile race in 35 minutes when I was working out and weighed closed to 250. That was better than army standards!
