Snowbird

Last year at this time I was sitting in Texas waiting for the weather to warm enough in Minnesota to let me come home.

It is tradition in Minnesota that the parks turn on their water on April 15th. Tax Day. The day when the cold nights are over so we can stop worrying about freezing our pipes.

Didn’t work out that way last year.

This year?

Today’s view from our living room:

Apr 16

Forecasting about six inches in our neighborhood.

Global warming, anyone?

TTYL,

Linda

  1. I think the seasons are shifting. Winter now runs from December to May and then you get one month for Spring.

  2. It’s hard to imagine living someplace with that much snow in mid-April. I always think of that as the beginning of spring. When living in Washington it meant lots more rain but a few nice days. When we lived in Texas it meant possibility of hail and other storms. Notice … I didn’t mention snow at either of those places.

  3. brrrrr, Linda.. I can see why you like to leave Minnesota in the winter time. It’s been rough all over … but my goodness!

  4. i’m sorry.
    i would move.
my friends would have to follow me.
or i would have to make new ones.
    that is ridiculous.
don’t mind me. i guess minnesota just makes me grumpy. LOLOL!
