Isn’t it amazing how one medical appointment can lead to another?
We weren’t surprised that Dave’s dentist appointment led to another because his teeth are falling apart just like his mother’s teeth did. But, we didn’t know I would walk out with an appointment with an oral surgeon to see if there’s anything that can be done about my upper lip injury from last year’s Segway “incident”.
Then, yesterday I went to see my primary physician and I walked out of there with orders for:
Lab work, of course.
An order for an x-ray of my right knee, the one still giving me problems.
An order for a mammogram.
An appointment for a colonoscopy.
An appointment for a bone density scan.
An appointment for a blood pressure follow-up check.
And an appointment for an orthopedic consultation to decide if we should open up my knee again to fix what broke all those years ago in rehab from my knee replacements.
Dave is seeing his primary physician right now. I wonder what appointments he will bring home?

Ain’t it hell to get old? 😎
And I thought our 9 doc appts were bad. But we finally finishe and got out of Billings. Jim has to go back in six months for more check ups and I have to have blood drawn somewhere in three months. I’m sure glad the rest of our life is so much fun to make up for this nonsense.
Just remember…we are all in this together. When Paul and I went back to Canton, OH, the first 2 weeks were just doctor and dentist appts. We will keep you in our prayers for good results in all the lab work, appts., and dental work! Blessings.
It works that way until you run out of money. Then you are either well or you…..well let’s not talk about option #2
Good Luck and C U in Yuma!
Thanks for all the good wishes. The oral surgeon said the pain may be from nerves finally regenerating so there’s nothing to do but wait it out. I had that problem with my left knee replacement so I know it does eventually end. I think we all agree getting old is better than dying young, right?
