I recently saw this amazing video on how to quickly make perfect corn-on-the-cob and had to share it. I know, I’m not supposed to eat corn but I am absolutely going to try this.

Now my question to you is how in the world you found a video like this?? Did you google Shucking Corn? I use the little potato cloth cookers to cook in a microwave. Takes about 10 minutes and always comes out perfect. I like corn too.

I just discovered you site yesterday while doing research on Elmdale, KS and esp the railroad in Elmdale. Elmdale is our current mailing address, though we live about 10 mi. west. The reason for the research is a story my dad, age 91, tells about going from Newton to Camp Wood as an eleven year old, via the doodlebug.
I’m wondering where you got the info on the stub, Elmdale Elevator Track 2? So far I’ve not found it, but it sure makes sense.
I see you’re headed south right now. Should you go through Emporia on your way south perhaps we could meet for a cuppa Joe. Dad and I are getting ready to go spend a week on a train trip and visit to the Grand Canyon, but if the timing works out, I would love to visit. Oh and there’s a campground of sorts in Elmdale. And of course a much nicer one in Emporia

I love this. I am sending to my girlfriend back on Ohio. She make corn on the cob in her micro all the time. She will love this. Thanks!
I need to get a pair of gloves like that guy has. I’ll try to remember this video next summer when the new crop comes in. 🙂
