Society

The CDC has said masks are no longer required if you have been fully vaccinated.

Social events are reopening.

Work and school places are reopening.

Society is threatening to become busy again.

If you tend to be a busy person with a long to do list, please put these things on your list:

  • rest
  • relax
  • play

Let’s not loose the benefits we received when everything shut down.

TTYL,

Linda

  1. No problem here. Andy and I will continue what we’ve been doing all along except Kaitlin, Torben and the pups may visit us in July. We haven’t seen them in a year and a half. And we may go see them in October if all goes well.

  2. We are still being extremely cautious. But we have gotten out more which feels mighty good.

  3. Although I’m in New Zealand where we have mixing and mingling for a fair portion of the timeframe from other parts of the globe – I have been unwell (not covid) for near on 8 months – not able to mix/mingle as much as I would like.
Now as I seem to be having less issues, I look at my long list of “things” although I could purchase online, I would rather go look-see. There are things you can’t do that way, like catch up with friends, mosey around in areas that are outside the 5km range from home.
But what I’ve found, is I’ve lost the process (wrong word) of going to things, at a set time – so I’m putting into place a kind of “practice model” – I said someone the other day, I thought I was becoming a hermit. She said “does that matter? Are you happy here? Doing the things you want?” And I thought maybe it’s not too bad…and then said “shall I take this year off?” to which she said “if you want….”
I’m not vaccinated yet, our group 65+ & the vulnerable starts late May – July. But you have to make sure you’ve had your seasonal flu’ jab with a fortnight between. Flu’ jab booked for tomorrow.
