Best decluttering tip ever

I just read this today on Becoming Minimalist and thought it was the best decluttering tip I have ever seen.

Open a cupboard or closet. Run your hands over the things in it. If anything is dusty you are obviously not using it so it can go without causing you pain.

So simple!

  1. LOL! that Is good!
but my only problem really is Papers!
what feels like a Ton of documents etc. to go through.
an accumulation of medical and other stuff through the years.
what can I get Rid of… and what I Have to or Need to keep.
and the SHREDDING involved! (and I even have a shredder!!!)
I just don’t have the energy or desire to tackle it. I keep saying “one day soon.”
    ha.
one day soon never seems to come. and they’re all in neat plastic boxes.
still. it WORKS on me! I KNOW they’re there.
too bad they can’t get dusty! LOL. xo

  2. Great idea! I just stuff things out of sight into boxes and from time to time pick one and start tossing. I also have a gazillion digital pictures that I’m going through and tossing a few at a time. My minimalism is more about expressing ideas concisely, not about material objects.

  3. I tried to be so good when we loaded the Bungalow but I’ve discovered I may have been too good when it comes to clothes. Oops. But living in AZ, everything is dusty all the time.😁😁
