Oregon Trail

Most of us know something about the pioneers struggling to make the trek west. Some of us have even played the game Oregon Trail. Either can help us understand the need to determine what we need versus what we want.

Do you have things that should be left alongside the trail?

What thing or thought is keeping you from living a better life?

  1. Actually I’m still living the dream, and keeping my fingers crossed it lasts a while longer. ❤️

  2. I want my body to quit aging so I can do things I used to do. But I know that’s not what you mean. I think about people who have list all belongings to fires or floods and compare them to the pioneers. So I look around at what I have and there’s not much that I would miss. Life is good.

  3. I’m with Monk, basically I’ve living a life I love, nothing needs to be left at the side of the track. However, if I lost it all tomorrow, it wouldn’t matter, I would just start down another pathway, probably just as interesting as the current one.

(Yes are things I want to be gone, like rotten health at times, but I have to learn to live with it because I can’t just put it in the bin, and start afresh)

But I understand the pioneer concept…

  4. the only two things I would hate to be without are two that I would never have even considered before.
I have come to love the internet and google. not to order things but to keep contact with friends like you and to see what the world is doing. I’m happy to be a hermit otherwise.
and I would hate to lose my Kindle! I’ve always loved books. and it makes it easy for me to read until I have cataract surgery next year. I wouldn’t mourn Things otherwise. I live a really simple life. 😀 xo
