We all know Texas is a big state. Those of you who are my regular readers also know I travel slowly. I’ve now been driving across Texas for five days. But today I will finally drive out of Texas. Probably.
In the meantime here’s proof of something else we all think we know about Texas.
Texas is truck country.
TTYL,
Linda
Sure does look dreary in your picture. Pickups are so loved by men. Jim missed his truck so much when we had the motorhome. Moving slowly is a good thing in my book.
Glad you are making it out – LOL! Do you find Texans really friendly? I did. They all seem to stop and let you, the pedestrian, pass. And they seem to look you in the eye. Maybe they don’t say ‘howdy’ but they usually smile and nod.
You are making great progress! Gonna miss seeing you at the Q! (Again).
Every time we travel this state, we comment how da– big it is.
Safe travels OUT of Texas.
Five days to drive through Texas?
Isn’t it nice NOT to have to HURRY!
Cheers,
Peter

As Ford retirees, ya gotta love all those trucks in Texas.
Five days to travel through one state is great! It means you took your time and visited things, or saw some family/friends! If you speed through each state and call it a journey, it just wouldn’t be the same! Keep on trucking!
Ernie,
I usually reply directly to my commenters but your email address worries me. It feels like you are fishing for customers and I don’t want to be the one you caught. If that’s not true, I apologize but in that case you might want to get a different address for blog comments. Just so you don’t get left hanging a lot.
