Here and now

I received this list today and decided to pass it on.

“Going outdoors is not cancelled.

Listening to music is not cancelled.

Quality time with our families is not cancelled.

Reading a book is not cancelled.

Sharing with friends is not cancelled.

Singing out loud is not cancelled.

Laughing is not cancelled.

Sharing hope with others is not cancelled.

Let’s embrace what we have.”

I could add:

Cooking together is not cancelled.

Working jigsaw puzzles is not cancelled.

Sharing memories is not cancelled.

What would you add to this list?

TTYL,

Linda

  1. what a wonderful list!
I haven’t had any problems yet… but then I’ve been a happy hermit for years.
but I love the positive spin on this. and your addition to it!
I have a friend who’s already panicking. her life is her work. and they have closed the University.
it’s the proverbial problem of putting ALL your eggs in one basket. she’s simply lost without her work.
same thing when you read of men (or anyone probably) who retire and then are dead 6 months later.
and the 25 years I worked I couldn’t wait for retirement! LOL.

  2. it’s affecting those who have as tammy commented “eggs in one basket” and a good % of our worldwide population have that disease “one basket life”

It’s interesting because a teacher of young children, has had her work life cancelled, and she seems to have no idea how to fill in her day home (she is recently remarried, no offspring at home) she thought that maybe in the Spring she could garden but would that be full time occupation. I suggested she research the plants/seeds other and then write up about it…wow, you would think I had suddenly had become a “teacher” 🙂

Our modern culture hasn’t prepared us to re-evaluate our lives when we need to… I on the other hand have been without any work from many decades, somehow a life has been carved out…even when I gave up a almost full time volunteer job…
