Aging Well

Nurse Jen posts videos regarding things she has observed during thirty years of nursing that affect us as we get older.

The first one I watched was a list of seven things that indicate someone is aging well. I don’t remember all seven but here’s what I do remember, not in any particular order, and using my words not hers.

  1. You get yourself out of bed, off the toilet, and up from a chair without assistance.
  2. You manage your medicines including knowing what you take and why.
  3. You find something to laugh at every day.
  4. You challenge your brain by doing things like reading, working puzzles, participating in hobbies, etc.
  5. You connect with at least one other person every day.
  6. You adapt to changes.

If you want to learn the other one, I guess you’ll have to go watch her videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Khs8kvCTbBA&t=338s

Those listed above I do regularly. I guess that means I am aging well. How about you?

TTYL,

Linda
