Today’s view

Dave took this picture out our window today. The pond is so shallow, deer are wading in it. Click to enlarge it.

I wish the water was as clear as it used to be. The more houses they build the more green the water gets as people “treat” their lawns, thus destroying the nature this land was dedicated to preserve. I suspect the people living in the houses up the hill on the other side of the trees don’t see the damage they are doing. At least, I hope they don’t see it rather than they are just ignoring the results of their activities.

Society

The CDC has said masks are no longer required if you have been fully vaccinated.

Social events are reopening.

Work and school places are reopening.

Society is threatening to become busy again.

If you tend to be a busy person with a long to do list, please put these things on your list:

  • rest
  • relax
  • play

Let’s not loose the benefits we received when everything shut down.

Linda

A Special Day

Sunday is a special day in Minnesota.

Yes, it’s Mother’s Day.

It’s also traditionally the opening day of fishing.

I wonder who decided that was a good idea?

This year is different, though. Apparently the fishing opener is based on Memorial Day which is late this year. So the fishing opener won’t happen until May 15th.

Mothers everywhere are glad about that.

Except those who were pleased to have a quiet day at home.

TTYL,

Linda
