More Public Park Camping

For some reason I got the idea into my head that I needed to more or less finish my research on each state before I posted it here in my Public Park Camping section. I finally decided that’s silly. There is no reason why you should not have the benefit of the research I HAVE done just because I’m NOT done. So, if you like camping in national, state, regional and city parks and forests check out the bottom of the right hand column on this page for data I’ve collected over the last couple of years. Some of it is not current and there are lots of pieces missing but, hey, it’s better than nothing, right?

Oh yeah, you won’t find New Jersey listed yet. So far my spreadsheet for it only has one county park in it so I think I’ll work on that one next.

  4. Dave says the theme we are using does not include the right column on the RSS feed which I did not know. If you click on the header it will take you to the home page where you will be able to see it. The public camping bit is down at the bottom below the search box. Now, I have to decide whether or not to change themes which Dave says is a real nuisance to do. I don’t like the word verification selection he chose either. I may have to learn more of this stuff myself.

  6. Linda, you have done alot of great work! I downloaded one state and saved it to my desktop so I don’t have to be connected to internet to open it when needed. From now on I will save the appropriate states to a file (plan to also save them to a CD as backup). But for now, it works beautifully. DH and I plan to leave in early Jan to parts south and then west for the winter. I am certainly looking forward to using the info you have so neatly compiled. Glad you have such a nice and large motorhome now to store all your belongings. Happy and safe travels. Wentzi
