My Day, My Way

Today is my birthday and it was about as perfect as I can get.

I slept most of the morning.

I had restaurant leftovers for breakfast.

I ate only an apple for late afternoon snack because I was saving my Weight Watchers points for later.

Then we went to my favorite restaurant, Timberlodge, for dinner and I had my favorite wild rice soup and filet mignon, which was cooked exactly as I like it. I also had garlic mashed potatoes. Plus, I still have enough points left for my late night munching which will probably be leftover steak.

And I got the only present I asked for: a longer USB cable so I can sit in my favorite chair with my iPad plugged in and be able to put it on my side table without unplugging it.

Life is good!

TTYL,

Linda

  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sounds like the perfect day. Dave sure must love you lots to get you that special gift! Glad you had a great day.

  2. Looks like our birthdays are only a day apart. I was busy driving home on mine, so my daughter and son in law are taking me out for steak and lobster tonight. 🙂

  3. A belated birthday to you, Linda! I usually don’t read many blogs when we’re not on the road, but I do check in on yours every now and then to see how you’re doing. We’re heading back from Maine to Wisconsin in a few days (in a car, sadly) via a stop to look at an Avanti 28 by Thor? Dick’s been looking for an alternative to the Navion, since our guaranty is about to expire, among other reasons. I’m torn- but I look to folks like you, who have moved on, and up in size – and evidently are pretty darn happy, for inspiration.

Hope life continues to be good for you!
    Laura
