Driving Home, New Year’s Day

We are in Kearney, Missouri.

That means we could drive all the way home today.

In wind and snow and cold.

Or we could wait until tomorrow and just have cold.

Or we could wait for the next day and have warmth. And wind.

As much as we’d like to be home now, Dave has just gone down to the motel’s desk to see if we can extend another night.

Ah, the joys of traveling in winter.

TTYL,

Linda

  1. Been watching the Midwest…family are getting hammered and you’ve been in my thoughts. Wondered how far you made it…hopeful you are getting healed up, rested, and settled. Better times are just around the corner….may you be blessed in 2014!

  2. Most important aspect is be safe! Your home will be there when you get there. You two are together and that is all that matters!

Wishing you two a happy, healthy and safe New Year!

  3. As long as you guys are safe, that is what’s important. So relax and get some rest and have a fantastic 2014.
