Entertaining Pandemic

The social life available at Trillium Woods is usually very busy. There are things going on most hours of the day. But, the need for social isolating in this complex for older adults put a stop to all of that.

Until now.

A couple weeks ago an exercise program started. Our complex has eight courtyards between various parts of the building. So balcony exercises were started. An exercise leader goes from one courtyard to another leading exercises we can do on our balconies.

Then they scheduled a concert. Which again moved from one courtyard to another repeating the same performance in each courtyard.

Next Tuesday, weather permitting, a magician will make the rounds of the courtyards.

I love management’s method of keeping us busy during stay at home orders. Including delivering books and/or jigsaw puzzles from our in-house library.

And today, Dave decided to get a free glass of wine when they came around delivering for the weekly happy hour.

Happy indeed.

TTYL,

Linda

  1. that’s great inventive and incentive to keep the occupiers happier…I seem to recall that Italians in one particular city did similar things but not from the courtyard, but rather someone with a good voice, or a violin or in one case I think I saw a organ on their balcony.

I Google search your residential place – looks absolutely adorable….

  2. that is so cool!
I didn’t even realize you have a balcony! I don’t think you’ve ever mentioned it!
I’ve seen the view from your windows… but I don’t see a balcony.
I especially love the exercises! sounds fun.
