Decluttering made simpler

The first things to get rid of is the phrase, “What if…?”

Once you stop wondering what would happen in the future if you didn’t have that item, it is easier to let it go.

After all, if it hasn’t happened by now, what are the odds it is going to happen in the future?

And if it did happen, how likely is it that this “irreplaceable” thing would be your answer?

Would you even know where to find that thing?

Or would you go buy a new one, anyway?

  1. great thoughts on the matter of “stuff stored” – I have an area in my unit that is waiting to be collected as the lockdowns have put paid to collection people taking stuff away. But in last week or two, a blog I follow about other things – suggested that we often “tolerate” items in our homes, because they are not exactly broke but they are so well worn that a new replacement would make a huge difference. I did that last year with my bedding, but I didn’t get rid of the old bedding “just in case” – I think I need to sort them up. As I know I don’t need them…
