With that last shade up and the light switches turned off the only light I have inside is the glow from all the electronics. I am sleeping every bit as well as I do in the apartment. That makes me very happy indeed.
My passenger seat swivels to face the couch. It is a bit too tall for me, though, so I was happy when I found my folded footstool is just the right height for me to rest my feet on.
And when I unfold it and lean my seat back I get a recliner!
If you look closely at the cab passenger window in the picture above, you will see one of my insulating and light blocking window coverings. It made a huge difference in my comfort level in this picture as the sun was beating fiercely on that window.
Now I have all the comforts of home.

A comfy bed and a recliner – it doesn’t get much better than that.

I was wondering how the new SMB sofabed was compared to your old View sofa (and if it is on par with the mattress you replaced the View sofa with). Don’t you just LOVE those folding ottomans? I think it’s one of my favorite RV items– so comfy and convenient! Is that an office chair in front of the sofa? Would love to see that area, and what you ended up doing for the bathroom area as well. After I sell my house next year, my next home will be more mobile, but still trying to decide if it will be a larger full-timer RV or if it’ll be a “home-base” park model with a smaller camper van for excursions. Love my View, but want to travel beyond the U.S. someday (or be more stealthy in the U.S.)– customizable SMBs sure look like the way to go, your van is gorgeous!
nice to have sun blockers for the windows but i love that it has so much light!
and the bed is perfect. very cozy.
